皆早めに起きてウォームアップを済ませて、１０時からは6月の公演のリハーサル＋１９日のリハーサルを弾丸で済ませてリハーサル終了
晴れるといいな、明日！
明日はニューヨークのチャイナタウンで、お待ちしております！

The 40thAnnual Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Festival on Sunday, May 19, 2019, NYC
Celebrate AAPI heroes: Suki Terada Ports, Aiyoung Choi, and Adhikaar
New York, NY (May 6, 2019) The 40th Annual Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival is the largest and longest continuously running Pan-Asian street festival on the East Coast. Bring family and friends to enjoy live music and dance performances, explore children's activities, discover arts and crafts, refresh with health and wellness activities, and learn about the many participating community groups. Emcees for the performances include ABC 7 News’ CeFaan Kim, CUNY TV’s Minnie Roh, NY County Supreme Court Justice Doris Ling-Cohan, and Edwin Wong. In addition, performing at the festival is noted Japanese drumming group Soh Daiko. The event is free for the public to enjoy.
The festival will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm along Mott Street (south of Canal Street) in Manhattan Chinatown, one of the oldest and growing immigrant communities in the U.S. There are 1.23 million Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) living in New York City, making up 15% of the population and the city’s fastest growing ethnic group. The festival is organized by the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA) in collaboration with diverse organizations representing the rich diversity of the APIA community.

This year, the theme of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Festival is AAPI Heroes, and the festival will honor three outstanding AAPI Heroes: Suki Terada Ports, Aiyoung Choi, and Nepali social justice organization Adhikaar.
Suki Terada Ports is a long time social justice advocate who has played a leadership role in founding a number of minority-based public health organizations, including the National Minority AIDS Council, the Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Iris House, and the Family Health Project.
Aiyoung Choi is a long time leader in the AAPI and human rights communities, who has played a leadership role in founding organizations including the Coalition for Korean American Voters (CKAV), the Black and Korean Mediation Project (BKMP), the Asian Women Giving Circle, and serving as the board chair of Women Cross DMZ, a global women’s movement working for peace and reconciliation in Korea.
Adhikaar is the only women-led worker and community center serving and organizing the Nepali-speaking immigrant and refugee community, building leadership and power to win rights and improve working conditions across low-wage industries. Founded in 2005 by four immigrant women of color, the organization has grown from its local roots to organizing domestic workers, nail salon workers, and the Nepali temporary protected status (TPS) community at the state and national levels.
